It weighs 450 grams, light enough that a full box of frames will not wear out your grip before you finish, and it packs into a 200 by 150 by 80mm box. Beekeepers running heavier gauge wire get more life out of the foundation before it needs rewiring, which is why thicker wire tends to be the usual choice with a tool like this. It presses wire into foundation sheets and nothing else. It will not cut wire to length or assemble the frame around it, so have both ready before you start.
