DIY Holographic Projector Craft Kit

This kit arrives as flat panels of wood waiting to be assembled into a small open box, and once built it turns a phone or tablet screen into a floating hologram-style image through its angled panels. Nothing here runs on electricity; the trick is entirely optical, using the screen you already own as the light source. It comes in two sizes. The mobile phone version finishes at 90 by 95 by 140 millimeters, sized for a handset propped upright inside. The pad version scales up to 270 by 210 by 300 millimeters to hold a tablet instead, and weighs about 620 grams once assembled against 220 grams for the phone size. Assembly is part of the activity, not a chore to skip past. There is no video content included, only the frame that turns your own screen into the display.
